This publication systematizes experiences and lessons learned from 18 projects on Territories and Areas Conserved by Indigenous Peoples and Traditional and Local Communities (TICCAs) supported by the 28th and 30th PPP-ECOS Calls for Proposals, between 2020 and 2023, in the Cerrado biome. Funded by the German Government and supported by UNDP, the initiatives were implemented by community organizations, NGOs, and unions, aiming to strengthen territorial governance, recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and enhance the sustainability of traditional ways of life. The document highlights the essential role of these territories in biodiversity conservation, maintenance of native vegetation, water production, and climate balance, reinforcing their importance for Brazil's cultural and environmental diversity.
