ISPN launches a publication systematizing the results of the rich discussions that took place during the First Meeting of Experiences and Learnings from the PPP-ECOS in the Amazon, held between March 28 and 30, 2017, in Brasília, DF.
The meeting aimed to integrate the 88 projects supported by the Small Ecossocial Projects Program (PPP-ECOS), with resources from the Amazon Fund, from 77 organizations in the states of Maranhão, Tocantins and Mato Grosso, researchers, representatives of invited institutions, public bodies, among others.
The event aimed to demonstrate the importance of small-scale eco-social projects as a financial mechanism to democratize access to and distribution of resources from the Amazon Fund. To this end, it promoted reflection on the importance of community-based projects for regional development and conservation through the use of biodiversity and agroecology.
We hope that this material will make the lessons learned during the Meeting accessible to participants and to all those seeking to understand the world of small socio-environmental projects.
