About the Amazon Program

The Amazon Call for Proposals of the PPP-ECOS is part of ISPN's Amazon Program, which focuses on supporting community-based projects that seek the sustainable use of biodiversity and contribute to positive global environmental impacts. The program works with family farmers and traditional peoples and communities, strengthening partnership networks, expanding technical and political leadership, and mobilizing resources for eco-social community projects and their organizations. This work aims to improve the lives of families in the regions where it operates, who in turn work to maintain ecosystem services that benefit the entire society.

The Program operates in the Amazon biome, primarily in three states within the Legal Amazon: Mato Grosso, Tocantins, and part of Maranhão.
