First stage of project selection for PPP-ECOS 2019/FAMA completed

On the 13th, in Brasília, the Technical Chamber (CT) was held to evaluate the projects validated in the selection process for the 25th PPP-ECOS call for proposals, funded by the Amazon Fund. A committee composed of ISPN technicians and external evaluators (invited from the government, partner organizations, and academia) analyzed 138 proposals (small and consolidation projects). Another 9 proposals were rejected for failing to meet the call's requirements. Ten letters of inquiry were also received, classified as strategic projects, which will undergo a separate selection process. In total, 157 proposals were received for this call.

The CT's evaluation criteria primarily considered the technical, human, and financial feasibility of the proposals, participatory construction, and alignment with the logic of environmental conservation through sustainable practices. Issues of gender, youth, and ethnicity were highlighted as differentiating factors in some proposals.

The projects now move on to the next stage of selection, which consists of analysis by the PPP-ECOS National Management Committee.
