This call for proposals aims to support initiatives that strengthen the environmental and territorial management of Indigenous Lands (ILs) in the state of Maranhão (MA) and northern Tocantins (TO), as well as the protection of their surroundings, guaranteeing Indigenous well-being and biodiversity conservation. Proposals may be up to R$50 and must address the following thematic areas: environmental and territorial management; Indigenous governance and participation; productive and sustainable activities; and environmental conservation and restoration. The target audience for this call is Indigenous, pro-Indigenous, and/or socio-environmental associations working with Indigenous peoples in Maranhão and northern Tocantins (Kraholândia and Apinajé ILs). This call for proposals falls within the scope of the Integrated Territorial and Environmental Land Management Project in Eastern Amazonia, which is implemented by the Institute for Society, Population and Nature (ISPN), in partnership with the Center for Indigenous Work (CTI), the Coordination of Organizations and Articulations of Indigenous Peoples of Maranhão (COAPIMA), the Articulation of Indigenous Women of Maranhão (AMIMA), and the Wyty-Catë Association of the Timbira people. It also has the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
