The ISPN (Institute for the Promotion of Productive Eco-social Landscapes) announces the 31st Call for Proposals for the Fund for the Promotion of Productive Eco-social Landscapes (PPP-ECOS) – “Integrated Environmental and Territorial Management of Indigenous Lands in Eastern Amazonia”. This Call for Proposals aims to support initiatives that strengthen the environmental and territorial management of Indigenous Lands (ILs) in the state of Maranhão (MA) and northern Tocantins (TO), as well as the protection of their surroundings, guaranteeing indigenous well-being and biodiversity conservation. Indigenous, pro-indigenous, and/or socio-environmental associations, preferably those working with the indigenous peoples of Maranhão and northern Tocantins (Kraholândia and Apinajé ILs), may apply and submit their proposals by August 31, 2021.
Proposals may be for up to 50 reais and must address the following thematic areas: environmental and territorial management; governance and indigenous participation; productive and sustainable activities; and environmental conservation and restoration. This initiative is part of the scope of the project “Integrated Environmental and Territorial Management of Indigenous Lands in Eastern Amazonia,” a partnership between the Institute for Society, Population and Nature (ISPN), the Center for Indigenous Work (CTI), the Coordination of Organizations and Articulations of Indigenous Peoples of Maranhão (COAPIMA), the Articulation of Indigenous Women of Maranhão (AMIMA), the Wyty-Catë Association, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
